Some service technicians claim that this will <strong>save you money on heating during the winter months.<\/strong> It sounds tempting, but in our view, the reality is different: <strong>hardware manufacturers do not recommend anything like a summer or winter window mode.<\/strong> Adjustment elements (contact pressure, height\/side fine-tuning, etc.) exist on windows to solve specific problems, not as a seasonal switch. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aluplast.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/TcJRvnRdGB81cJnrzvicWPpEVSe6KUZuc0Md4xef.png\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"><\/p>\n<h3>Adjust Only When There Is a Problem<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Important: take small steps, test, and do not adjust to the maximum limit. However, the problem is often elsewhere: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Connecting joint<\/strong>: degraded mounting foam, missing or poorly applied sealing tapes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incorrect installation of external windowsills<\/strong> \u2192 water and wind get where they shouldn&#8217;t.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sash out of alignment<\/strong> \u2013 a so-called sagging sash.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It makes sense to assess the window as a whole\u2014not just turn a single pin.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>How to Adjust Windows Sensibly (Without the Myths)<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Clean and lubricate the hardware (once a year).<\/li>\n<li>Wipe the gaskets with a suitable product and check for cracks (once a year).<\/li>\n<li>If it doesn&#8217;t fit tightly\/there is a draft \u2192 fine-tune the contact pressure and sash alignment.<\/li>\n<li>If the problem persists \u2192 check the connecting joint. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A high-quality window should seal well throughout the year. Do not unnecessarily interfere with the window just because winter or summer has arrived.
