It all started in the living room

In the turbulent 1990s, three young people – Robo, his sister Lenka, and her husband Miro – pursued their vision. In a small workshop, they began producing modern windows, while their office was in the living room, where their children ran around and filled the room with laughter. From the very beginning, they built on the values of honesty and trust – not merely to sell, but to be a reliable partner.

Over time, ALUPLAST grew, gained valuable experience, and built a strong professional reputation at home and overseas. Thanks to his highly specialized expertise in building openings, Robo became a recognized authority in the Slovak window market.

Honesty all the way across the ocean

Honest and fair work in a segment where these values were not so common opened the door to the U.S. market for us. Our American partners were looking for a reliable partner who could handle demanding technical details as well as logistics.

Today, it has been more than 20 years since we have been exporting windows from Prievidza to construction projects in Brooklyn, Boston, and other cities across the United States.

To this day, under the leadership of a new generation, we continue to build on our original values: we understand that building a home is a milestone that brings not only excitement, but also stress and important decisions. Our goal is to be a trustworthy partner – to provide expert advice, ensure high-quality products, and take care of everything necessary so that our customers can focus on what matters to them.

For us, windows are not just a product. They are a way to help families create safe, comfortable homes.

It is easier with friends

Many people ask how it is possible for a small company from Prievidza to become an exporter of windows to the USA. Others ask how to be a window manufacturer with a soul.

Behind all of this is, of course, a great deal of work, courage, and perseverance. But also something rarer – people. This is not an HR cliché. We are a team united by friendships and family ties. It is a gift, but also a challenge for relationships.

People do not change much here. We sincerely strive to ensure that everyone is satisfied, welcomed as a person, and fairly rewarded. This also helps us preserve our craft know-how.

And when this human strength, skill, and creativity are combined with modern technologies, the result is products with an eye for detail and services you can rely on.

Exceptional windows for exceptional projects

Our production retains a craft character, combining delicate, careful handwork with the precision and performance of modern machinery. Thanks to this combination, we are able to produce highly specific and non-standard products with the required level of energy performance quality. Perhaps thanks to this as well, we can point to projects that are architecturally interesting and unconventional. One example is Villa Bôrik, which won the prestigious CEZAAR architectural competition in 2022.

We manufacture windows using the world-renowned German SCHÜCO profile system in both PVC and aluminum. We approach every order with care and respect, whether it is the renovation of a family home or an original architectural project.

We are a member of the SLOVENERGOokno association

We are a member of the SLOVENERGOokno association, which brings together companies in the windows and doors sector – from manufacturers and suppliers of profiles, glass, and accessories to installers. Experts from various fields have come together to raise quality in our industry.

The association’s aim is not only to support its members, but also to protect customers – by establishing clear quality standards. This is why two voluntary quality labels were created:

ENERGOkno® – assesses the energy properties of a window (how well it insulates), SLOVOKNO® – assesses installation quality together with the product.

Both labels have their own methodology, based on technical standards, high-quality workmanship, and clear traceability of production.
