FAQ - Custom Plastic Windows: Most Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
What is the difference between an HS portal and tilt-and-slide doors?
The HS portal can handle larger dimensions; the sash is lifted and slides; low threshold; it is a more costly solution.
PASK tilt-and-slide doors: higher airtightness, ventilation in the tilt position, the sash moves inward and slides, specific operation
Are sliding doors suitable for everyone?
Yes and no. The most important thing is to consider how it will be used every day and the frequency of passage. Frequently opening a 300–400 kg sash of a large HS portal may not be comfortable for some people.
Is a barrier-free threshold possible?
HS portals are typically manufactured with a low threshold. PASK doors have a window frame at the bottom.
Which material is better – plastic or aluminium?
Each has advantages and disadvantages depending on the specific case.
